  • & Long-term disability insurance Life insurance Paid holidays 20 days annual Paid Time Off (PTO) Position Overview The Sheet Metal Foreman leads field operations on commercial and industrial HVAC projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This role oversees crews, coordinates with project managers and other trades, and drives productivity to keep projects on schedule and within scope. The Foreman brings strong technical expertise, leadership, and a hands-on approach to delivering successful installations while mentoring the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Principal Accountabilities Review and understand the scope of the project based off plans and specifications. Responsible for understanding project submittals for equipment location layouts and assuring only approved materials are being installed on the project. Responsible for sketching necessary ductwork and fittings for shop fabrication. Responsible for jobsite coordination with Engert subcontractors. Fill out daily JSAs and assignment of work tasks to sheet metal mechanics and helpers to ensure work is being completed in a timely manner to meet the job schedule. Weekly communication with General Superintendent for manpower needs on the project. Attend weekly or bi-weekly job site meetings with our Project Manager and General Contractor's team. Arrange material delivery to site as job progression requires. Conduct weekly safety toolbox talk meetings with employees assigned to the jobsite. Coordinate proper tools and PPE for employees on site to perform assigned job tasks. Responsible for keeping as-built redlined drawings for closeout documents. Calmly and constructively manage disagreements, conflicts, and crises as required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use hand tools and operate electric and/or battery powered tools. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at times. Must be able to ascend and descend step ladders and work from elevated scissor lifts and scaffolding. Qualifications for
Success:
5+ years 'experience in sheet metal, duct, and HVAC systems Adept at multi-tasking in fast paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes Able to work independently and across multiple teams and levels within and outside of the organization and take initiative on projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills
