Job Description

Job Title:
Fabrication Supervisor A growing metal fabrication manufacturer in beautiful east Tennessee is seeking to add metal fabrication expertise to their team that can produce high quality component parts in support of welding capacity expansion. Key Responsibilities The Fabrication Supervisor will have full responsibility for all 1st shift fabrication and daily 2nd shift fabrication planning. Core to the success of this role is:
  • the creation of a safe work environment
  • maximization of equipment utilization
  • efficient use of manpower
  • clear scheduling and priority change management.
The Supervisor will create processes and procedures for the control of variation in manufacturing performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Requirements:
Perform floor walks with intent and purpose regarding unsafe conditions and an acts and properly address those concerns with permanent corrective actions. Evolve the quality culture from inspecting and repair to quality at the source by auditing product and providing feedback and corrective action at the source of the quality issue. Communicate and execute the production schedule and remove roadblocks that arise affecting the successful completion of the plan. Facilitate the onboarding of new employees through training, mentoring, and assessment and perform frequent check-ins to ensure expectations are met, the new employee understands their new role, and that they have everything needed to be successful. Assess processes and overall capacity and make recommendations to leadership regarding opportunities for improvement. Collect and analyze data to make sound data-based decisions in the areas of quality and productivity. Attend planning and production meetings as required to plan for successful execution of daily and longer-term goals.

From $80,000.00 per year
