GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily production activities on an assigned shift. This role ensures safe, high-quality manufacturing output that meets schedule and cost targets while developing people, enforcing standards, and driving continuous improvement consistent with Amphenol's operational goals.Essential Functions:
Lead, coach, and develop production leads and operators; manage daily assignments, staffing, and shift handovers. Execute the production schedule to meet on-time delivery and customer requirements. Ensure product quality by enforcing work instructions, first-article inspections, in-process checks, and nonconforming-material procedures. Maintain a safe work environment and enforce EH&S policies, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and incident reporting. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, SS, Kaizen) to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase OEE. Monitor and report production metrics (throughput, yield, scrap, downtime, OEE) and implement corrective actions to close gaps. Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Planning to resolve production issues and implement new products/processes. Manage and control production documentation and ensure compliance with ISO/AS standards and customer-specific requirements. Lead root-cause analysis for recurring defects; implement countermeasures and verify effectiveness. Maintain accurate production records, timesheets, and shift logs; participate in budget and cost-control activities. Support onboarding, training, and competency assessments for the production team.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.Problem-solving skills:
structured problem solving (S Whys, PDCA). Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, SS, and continuous improvement tools. Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and root cause corrective action (RCCA).Preferred certifications:
Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in manufacturing/engineering preferred. 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role (or equivalent leadership experience). Experience in electronic assembly, cable/connector manufacturing, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP), shop-floor data collection, and basic Microsoft Office. U.S. Citizen or permanent resident to satisfyAFSI ITAR

environment: Fast-paced manufacturing floor with ESD/clean-area controls, frequent standing and walking, use of inspection/metrology equipment, and close collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality teams. PPE requiredPhysical Demands:
