- Full-time We currently have a position open for an experienced Shop Foreman to join our team.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have custom cabinet experience. High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of cabinetry experience Great attention to detail and communication skills Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16", and read floorplans/diagrams Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks Possess detailed knowledge of shop industry. Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensure jobs are completed on time. Leadership qualities, able to remain calm and clear-headed, and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met Must be able to pass a background check Bilingualism is a plus Responsibilities Oversees daily work of employees. Train, manage and mentor employees. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures. Follow protocols to correct employee work performance. Review work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards and that all deadlines are met. Schedule maintenance on all equipment and machinery. Order all materials. Operate shop machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment. Operate a box truck; CDL not required but must have a valid Texas State Drivers License. Ensure shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous materials. Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear and procedures. Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably. Schedule Monday through Friday, start at 6:00 a.m. with some Saturdays.
