POSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv - STL Austin, Texas is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day assembly operations in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity within the STL assembly area while supporting production ramp and process stabilization. The Production Supervisor will serve as the front-line leader for production teams, driving execution of manufacturing processes, developing operators, and ensuring alignment with defined operational and global AME standards. This role plays a critical part in establishing stable, repeatable production during early-stage manufacturing and ongoing operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Execution & Performance Management Lead daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are met Monitor production performance (output, cycle time, quality, schedule adherence) and take immediate action to address gaps Drive execution of production plans, adjusting staffing and priorities as needed to meet changing demand and conditions Communicate daily production status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership Production Ramp & Process Stabilization Support early-stage production ramp, including stabilization of processes, workforce, and output Identify and escalate production issues, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve root causes Ensure consistent execution of defined processes, even in evolving or changing conditions Drive actions to recover production shortfalls and meet customer commitments Team Leadership & Workforce Development Directly supervise and develop hourly production employees (assemblers, testers, operators, etc.) Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and reinforce standard work Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Foster two-way communication and maintain strong engagement within the team Safety & Quality Ownership Enforce all safety and environmental regulations and ensure safe work practices are consistently followed Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures Identify, escalate, and support resolution of quality issues in production Reinforce proper use of work instructions and standard operating procedures Operational Coordination & Cross-Functional Alignment Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to address process, equipment, and production issues Coordinate activities across departments to ensure smooth production flow Support implementation of process improvements, new equipment, and operational changes Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain work schedules and production plans to meet customer demand Adjust schedules and manpower allocation based on production needs and changing priorities Maintain visibility to capacity constraints and escalate risks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred (or demonstrated leadership capability) Experience supporting production ramp, new product introduction (NPI), or early-stage manufacturing environments Proven ability to manage production teams in a fast-paced, changing environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive action to resolve production issues Preferred Experience in assembly-based manufacturing environments Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
Education And Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
