Manufacturing Lead/Supervisor Reporting Relationship:

Manufacturing Engineering Manager Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing manufacturing jobs, material, and personnel. The Manufacturing Leader is responsible for direct supervision of one division of manufacturing personnel. The Manufacturing Leader will approve, oversee, and maintain manufacturing and quality systems, procedures and policies. Acts as liaison between the company Management and Engineering in providing the required information and ensuring that proper information is maintained for documentation purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Hands on responsible for building and testing all manufacturing orders in the shop. 2. Responsible for overseeing manufacturing personnel who build new instruments and re-build and refurbish AAT acquired used machines. 3. Work with manufacturing management to update historical Product Bill of Materials for all products. 4. Responsible for loading software used in building instrument orders. 5. Responsible for building and testing of new instruments. 6. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to update and improve AAT document control system 7. Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems for all manufactured products. 8. Quality inspections of finished machines 9. Documenting and correcting problems that develop in the shop.
Desirable JOB Knowledge or Experience:
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • A general understanding of automated control systems including PLC and HMI interfaces
  • Programming experience with PLCs and touch screen machine interface
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial electronic and mechanical assembly experience to include the ability to read and understand schematics
  • Plastics and metal welding
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
q Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities q Ability to develop and train manufacturing employees q Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and organizational administrative skills required. q Stainless steel and plastic plumbing experience q Experience in building electrical back panels for industrial equipment. Minimum Qualifications Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills, Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work and interact with department and client organizations. 5 - 10 years manufacturing management experience or similar work environment. Strong organization, oral and written communication skills. Self-managed and ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines. A strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as experience with materials management software, is a must. Possess analytical skills with particular attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Work 40 hours 5 days per week 7am to 4pm Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds. Working in industrial environment Knowledge of basic computer skills. Assembly of mechanical and electrical parts. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the manufacturing industry. Must perform all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
