Job Description

Production Supervisor -
South Texas:
Primary Objective:
Supervise oilfield operations and direct daily activities of assigned company assets in a prudent and cost-effective manner.
Major Functions and Scope:
  • Leads a culture of safety excellence, ensuring all operations comply with company values, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforces application of Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis and LOTO requirements.
  • Directs daily field operations for producing assets, ensuring optimal production rates and equipment reliability.
  • Mentors and trains staff in all aspects of Production Operations.
  • Implements remedial actions to address production declines or equipment failures.
  • Coordinates with Management and engineering team to optimize field operations.
  • Supervises asset chemical programs.
  • Processes invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monitors spending, both OPEX and Capital, and assist with annual OPEX budget preparation.
  • Timely reporting: Approves and submits time reports of Direct Reports. Submits accurate expense reports with supporting documents.
  • Provides Production Manager and Regulatory groups with operational and production reports, as required.
  • Evaluates and implements new technologies and operational practices to improve efficiency.
  • Provides relief to area Production Manager as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and/or special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Knowledge:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Requires sound and detailed knowledge of oil and gas safety requirements and production operations.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in oil and gas field operations preferred. Previous supervisory experience required. Demonstrated experience with operating and troubleshooting artificial lift systems including rod pump and jet pump applications. Eagle Ford basin experience preferred.
Competencies:
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written). Strong problem solving and decision-making ability. Good interpersonal skills and strong leadership qualities required. Basic math skills are required. Should be able to work within budget restrictions. Needs to be capable of functioning within a team setting. Be able to develop and train direct reports. Understand and enforce safety, environmental and regulatory compliance. Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) as well as, well data and lease operational programs. Valid driver's license required This role is based in our South Texas Eagle Ford field office located in Batesville, TX.
