is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the fabrication shop to meet production goals. This role involves leading a team of 20-30 fabricators, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards in structural steel fabrication. The foreman will also play a key role in mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of steel fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of shop personnel, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within company quality expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for fabrication equipment and machinery.
• Collaborate and maintain effective communication with Production Managers to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project specifications.
• Implement and enforce quality and safety protocols to regulate to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide guidance, support, and motivation to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual English and Spanish
• Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role in the steel industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction and structural steel operation, including basic to advanced machinery operation and repair skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction plans.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Tekla.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
