In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinate a skilled team of welders and fabricators. Ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Monitor inventory levels of sheet metal, ductwork materials, and consumables; manage procurement as needed. Enforce adherence to ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels and piping systems. Conduct regular safety training sessions on rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and other critical skills. Familiarity with mechanical systems such as pipe threading, machining processes, rigging, and assembly methods. Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and plasma cutting equipment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to ductwork and sheet metal fabrication. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pressure vessels and piping systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards.
