Must be open to either 2:30PM - 11:00PM or 10:30PM - 7:00AM Must be willing to work Saturday Overtime Phoenix Stamping is a growing certified Veteran Owned Small Business with a family oriented work environment, great pay and benefits! Production Supervisor Reports to :
Plant Manager Job Purpose :
Ultimately responsible for the day-to-day departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Lead set up and changeover activity on machinery Support and monitor production activity to ensure operators are following standard work instructions and are meeting quality specifications Audit compliance with standard work instructions and process control plans to ensure production of good parts. Maintain and audit production information within the company's ERP system Maintain production related documents and logs to ensure availability and accuracy. Monitor production activity to ensure it is aligned with customer demand and corporate inventory goals. Lead department scheduling efforts Review un-planned scrap with employees to identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures. Oversee the professional development and periodic evaluation of direct reports. Identify employee development opportunities and enlist appropriate corporate personnel to assist in construction and implementation of training programs that are comprehensive and regularly reinforced. Periodically evaluate staffing levels to ensure human resources are adequate and properly positioned to support current and future production requirements. Champion the area's safety program and coordinate statutory training and compliance. Promote Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques in all manufacturing and administrative processes. Assist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and continually monitor their effectiveness. Actively solicit suggestions and exploit the experience of employees to develop and implement product and process improvements. Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care Ensure operational activities and management of equipment and materials are executed in a manner consistent with good stewardship Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures Perform other duties as required or assigned Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent professional experience 3 years supervisory experience preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred) Previous experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges,etc) required Mechanical aptitude and previous experience troubleshooting machinery required Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time Ability to use material handling equipment, including forklifts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) required Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Additional Information Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
