Job Description

Job Title:
Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor leads and coordinates daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently, safely, and with consistently high quality standards. This role oversees day-to-day activities on the production floor, manages and develops production staff, and drives continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets. Lead, coach, and develop production teams to ensure high performance, accountability, and engagement. Oversee and optimize production schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. Implement, enforce, and maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards. Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and support smooth operations. Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, downtime, scrap rates, and overall productivity. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes. Support onboarding, training, and cross-training of production staff to build a versatile and capable workforce. Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements while maintaining timely delivery. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Essential Skills Proven experience in production supervision within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate production teams. Hands-on experience with production management and manufacturing operations. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated commitment to safety and familiarity with OSHA standards and compliance. Ability to monitor and manage production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly address production issues. Capability to track, interpret, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production performance. Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams. Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience applying lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, or Kaizen events. Exposure to Six Sigma or other structured process improvement methodologies. Background in industrial or manufacturing processes and operations. Experience supporting onboarding, training, and development of production staff. Ability to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
