Position Summary Working with the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor manages the operations of their assigned production areas to ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved. The Production Supervisor plans and establishes work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Position Responsibilities Provides production process analysis and makes recommendations on solutions to process improvements. Serves as the go-to resource for their assigned production related needs. Performs and oversees manufacturing process capability studies, as needed. Assists in leading and executing equipment and process improvement initiatives including structured problem-solving methods. Manages workload priorities for the production team and communicates time and cost status and changes to management, as needed. Develops, maintains, and deploys work standards for processes. Engages in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, material flow, cycle times, productivity, and capacity. Owns the safety culture in their assigned area by working with the Safety Department to ensure employee training and accountability Participates in or leads cross functional team meetings. Develop a culture of teamwork and commitment to the customer; service and quality are what make us successful Assist with the adherence to SOP's Maintains manufacturing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and developing personal growth opportunities for employees Communicate job goals and expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures Produces products by establishing production planning systems; maintaining good manufacturing practices, enforcing quality standards, improving products and processes Ensure product quality meets product specifications and criteria for all products shipped from the plant Performs other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to, in-process quality inspection, executing production flow of containers per in-shop schedule. Requirements Hold direct reports accountable to the safety, cleanliness, quality, delivery and cost expectations Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to build a culture of confidence, pride, and tangible results Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, NetSuite ERP (or similar system) Works with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy Must be familiar with various measuring devices and analyzing information Fluent in Spanish preferred.
