Job Description:
Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Foreman to lead and scale our fabrication operation supporting our fast-growing TruePlank and TrueStep stair solution products. This is a player/coach role requiring a highly skilled craftsman who will own production flow, quality standards, training, inventory coordination, and shop efficiency while also working alongside the team.

The ideal candidate combines relevant fabrication and process optimization expertise with practical leadership experience in a fast-paced, growing production environment. This individual will serve as the quality benchmark for the shop, build process consistency across the team, and establish the operational foundation needed to support future product launches and increasing production volume.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership & FabricationFabricate TruePlank and TrueStep products alongside the team, serving as the master craftsman and quality benchmark for all shop output.

Own daily production scheduling, order prioritization, quotas, and capacity allocation across personnel and equipment.

Adjust shop workflow and layout as product mix, order volume, and operational demands evolve.

Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, accuracy, safety, and throughput in all fabrication activities.

Team Leadership & TrainingWork with Product Engineering to train, calibrate, and develop fabricators to a consistent craftsmanship and quality standard.

Build bench strength within the team and reduce single-point-of-failure dependencies.

Provide daily direction, coaching, and accountability to fabrication personnel.

Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.

Quality & Process ImprovementEnforce consistent quality standards across all fabricated products.

Establish standard work procedures and document fabrication processes.

Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks that limit throughput or create rework.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, workflow, organization, and production metrics.

Eliminate the need for periodic production audits through strong daily operational control.

Inventory & Operational CoordinationManage raw material and finished goods inventory to support order flow and inventory build requirements.

Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to maintain material availability for high-velocity SKUs.

Support operational scaling efforts as new fabricated products are introduced and production volume increases.

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts, material staging, and shop organization.

Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in custom fabrication or production trades, including cabinetry, millwork, stair manufacturing, countertop fabrication, or similar custom shop environments.2+ years of experience as a working foreman, lead craftsman, or shop supervisor with direct responsibility for production teams.

Demonstrated ability to train and calibrate craftsmen to a consistent quality standard.

Direct experience managing order queues, prioritization, and production flow in a made-to-order or custom production environment.

Strong hands-on fabrication skills with the ability to lead by example on the shop floor.

Comfortable working in a small, fast-growing operation without heavy systems or process infrastructure.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

High level of ownership, accountability, and bias toward action.

Preferred QualificationsExperience working with LVP, SPC, engineered hardwood, or similar engineered substrates.

Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement training and/or applied experience.

Experience scaling a fabrication or custom production operation through team growth or increased production volume.

Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and order management platforms.
