Job Description

Position Summary The Assembly & Test Operations Supervisor oversees all assembly and testing activities within the production area, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role is responsible for leading frontline leads and operators, driving operational excellence, enforcing process discipline, and meeting daily output, quality, and efficiency goals. The Supervisor ensures smooth workflow across assembly and testing operations while supporting continuous improvement and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to assembly and test operations teams, including lead operators, assemblers, and test technicians.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities to achieve output, on-time delivery, and takt time requirements.
  • Ensure assembly and testing processes are executed according to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all production areas.
  • Review production performance metrics and take corrective actions to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and materials teams to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
  • Train, coach, and develop leads and operators to improve technical capability, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate production records, downtime reporting, testing documentation, and compliance logs.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, server test operations, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-mix or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, process documentation, and test protocols.
  • Experience with data entry, touch-screen interface, MES, SFC, WMS and SAP or other ERP systems.
Preferred:
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly/test environments.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or automation projects. Work Environment
  • May involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial materials.
  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and product safety equipment as defined by safety and quality policies. Core Competencies

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
