Shift:
Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri,Sat,Sun The Production Lead is responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of all production associates staffed on designated shift, as well as plant sanitation and security. Additionally, the Lead position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters and for participation in both the hiring and performance management processes. Responsibilities Ensures the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift; Ensures that all SOP's are followed to maintain the quality of the product; Ensures security of facilities during designated shift hours; Enforces all safety and processing procedures; Ensures all shift associates are wearing their P.P.E equipment; Enables effective communications between management and operators; Trains new employees and coach existing employees; Maintains a clean and safe work place in accordance with company protocol; Coordinates with maintenance associates and other sanitation crew for dismantling of production lines and equipment in preparation for cleaning; Disassembles and reassembles production line and equipment as necessary for cleaning; Oversees and ensures the floors are clean, free of debris, and rinsed thoroughly; Oversees and ensures the cleanliness of air lines and hoses that feed the lines are clean; Removes and replaces equipment as needed to accommodate production set-up requirements; Sanitizes production equipment in preparation for maintenance and production set up crews; Ensures that all pieces of equipment are cleaned and sanitized; Oversees and ensures the cleanliness of the chemical room, process floor, dry goods area, restrooms, and other work areas; Oversees and ensures the cleanliness of wash buckets trash cans, hand rails, and other equipment assigned by supervisor until shift ends; Oversees the removal of production waste (garbage and render); Investigates and report all incidents (spills, accidents, and poor performance); Manufacture and pack products as necessary; Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas; Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including PPE's; Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times; Attends all company training sessions; and Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements:
Intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes; In-depth knowledge in sanitation and cleaning processes; Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; In depth understanding of established company values and strategy; Must be forklift certified; Basic understanding of computers; Proficient in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and Outlook; Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to add and utilize a calculator in order to determine avg. fill weights, production status, material, quantities, etc.; Ability to interpret both written and verbal instructions; and Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP's Accurately completes require Food Safety & Quality Records Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/Quality issues to the QA Manager and Department Manager Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, Requires the employee to stand for long periods of time, walk, frequent lifting of material up to 50 pounds and frequent twisting, turning, reaching, pushing and pulling use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision; depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment As part of the job requirements employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature (-20 degrees) at times. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends and mandatory overtime.
