Overview Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. The Assembly Supervisor will direct, mentor, and manage assembly personnel. He/she will plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to meet manufacturing targets for RF transmitters assemblies. M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays Location - need to be willing to work in both Dallas to Richardson depending on the assignments given. Eventually, we will only be in Richardson at 1401 E Lookout Drive. Responsibilities Direct, mentor, and manage assembly personnel. Conduct continuous feedback reviews in one-on-one format, provide ongoing training, and address any staffing issues or conflicts Ensure products meet CECs stringent quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations. Conduct safety audits, implement corrective actions, and foster a culture of safety within assembly work center. Assures that safety practices are observed by all personnel and visitors Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement best practices Monitor equipment and tool wear, and request external maintenance when required Assists in preparing operating budgets and manages effective expense control Establishes department's short term needs for manpower, equipment, and facilities, and assists in determination of long-term needs Assures that department adheres to schedules and assists in determining schedules Coordinates with other supervisors in effective utilization of labor, materials, and equipment Assumes responsibility for proper equipment maintenance and good housekeeping practices Exercises responsibility for training, developing, and motivating subordinates Recommends personnel actions within department including hires, terminations, transfers, performance reviews, salary actions, affirmative action plans, and job assignments Implements the company's Affirmative Action Plan as it applies to the function supervised. Monitors conduct and relationships among the employees supervised to prevent discriminatory acts or comments and takes or recommends disciplinary action accordingly Informs manager of developments which may contribute to schedule delinquencies, personnel problems, industrial accidents, or other problems affecting the operations Assists manager in development of long-range plans as required Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct. Qualifications 3 years of experience in a supervisory role with 3-5 years in an assembly environment Read technical drawings Strong leadership and people management skills In-depth knowledge of best manufacturing practices Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environment Desired Qualifications Associate's Degree Experience in RF Transmitter manufacturing Please review our benefits here: Life at OSI Pay may range from $80,000 to $88,000 annually. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
