Purpose :
Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): Set daily objectives and communicate them to employees Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules Oversee and coach employees on a daily basis Ensure the safe use of equipment and tools on a daily basis Check production output according to specifications Submit reports on performance and progress Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements Assure that new employees are receiving adequate training on how to safely use machinery and are following procedures Ensure housekeeping is maintained on a daily basis Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standards Reports to plant manager
Requirements:
Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role 2-3 years' experience of 'hands-on' injection molding Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools Must be able to troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum output Must be able to respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers Must be flexible; able to work extended hours and weekends when required May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Basic knowledge in MS Office Organizational and leadership abilities Communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with a results-driven approach Problem-solving skills High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage Bilingual (English & Spanish) is not mandatory but is a plus
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 1:45pm-11:15pm Must be able to work overtime and on weekends when needed
