Role:

Leon's Signs is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead our production team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, trade-focused environment and has the drive to take ownership of people, process, and performance. You will be directly responsible for leading a team that builds custom signage across East Texas. This role is for someone who can roll up their sleeves, hold people accountable, and deliver excellence on every project. What You'll Do Lead and supervise shop team, providing direction, training, and performance feedback. Manage scheduling, workflows, and project priorities to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality completion. Maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across the shop and facility. Oversee equipment, tools, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure seamless handoff from sales to build to installation. Enforce quality control standards, making sure that everything that leaves the shop or goes up in the field reflects the high quality we expect at Leon's Signs. Drive process improvements to increase productivity and reduce rework. About You Proven leadership experience in a trade, shop, construction, or manufacturing environment. Comfortable managing and motivating a team of skilled tradespeople. Strong problem solving skills and ability to keep projects moving under pressure. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and processes common to fabrication, welding, or electrical work (sign industry experience is a plus but not required). Willingness to be in the shop and on job sites daily. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with office and field staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of leadership in trades, shop, or field installation settings. Bachelor's degree Process improvement certifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid Texas Driver's License with a safe driving record. Ability to travel and work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in challenging conditions.
