Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all fabrication activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize daily workloads to meet production targets and customer requirements.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to develop skills, promote accountability, and build a high-performing culture.
- Monitor and track team performance against company KPIs, including safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the fabrication department—identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement process improvements, standardize best practices, and introduce new technologies or methods that support operational excellence.
- Ensure all fabrication work meets internal quality standards and customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas and equipment to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
- Work closely with engineering, production planning, and procurement teams to coordinate materials, specifications, and schedules.
- Facilitate daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and performance meetings with team members.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day issues on the shop floor, including resource constraints, material shortages, and technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate production records, timesheets, and performance reports for management review.
- Support the onboarding and training of new employees to ensure consistent understanding of processes and expectations.
- Promote and uphold a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
