Job Description
Company Overview We are a fast-paced manufacturing operation built on trust, collaboration, and quality. Our team is lean, hands-on, and proud of what we put out the door. We foster a casual yet high-performing environment where independent, proactive individuals thrive, and we empower our employees to take ownership of their roles without the constraints of micromanagement. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assembly Manager to lead our assembly and fulfillment floor from kit to shipped product. This is not a desk job. We're looking for someone who speaks the language of the shop floor, knows how to keep a build line moving, and can spot a bottleneck before it becomes a problem. Whether your background is in light manufacturing, contract assembly, fulfillment operations, or a hands-on technical trade, your shop-floor instincts will be your greatest asset. You'll be the central coordinator ensuring builds run smoothly, daily ship targets are met, and the team operates at peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of assembly technicians. Set the tone for accountability, quality, and pace on the floor.Build Planning:
Plan and prioritize daily and weekly build schedules to meet shipping demand and inventory targets.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Machining, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping to ensure seamless project execution and communication.Process Optimization:

Oversee component and finished-goods inventory, coordinate with purchasing, and ensure materials are staged and available without excess.Quality & Compliance:
Ensure work instructions, BOMs, and assembly procedures are accurate, current, and followed on every build.Shipping & Receiving Coordination:
Oversee logistics for incoming components and outgoing finished products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Self-Management:
Operate independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to identify and resolve issues before they become problems. What Makes You Stand Out We're taking a unique approach with this role. While traditional supervisory experience is valuable, we believe that a hands-on background gives you a distinct advantage. If you've actually built product on a line, set up fixtures, written or improved a work instruction, or run a fulfillment floor through a peak season, you'll bring a level of insight and credibility that's hard to replicate. Qualifications and SkillsExperience:
A minimum of three (3) years of assembly, manufacturing, or fulfillment supervisory experience required. 7 to 10 years of progressive experience is strongly preferred.- Technical Background (Preferred): Hands-on experience in assembly, light manufacturing, machining, or a related technical trade is highly valued and will set you apart.
Education:
A degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant hands-on experience and proven results will be given equal consideration.Core Competencies:
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven problem-solver who can juggle multiple builds and priorities simultaneously
