Reports to:
Director of Operations Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction, expertise, and support to production employees and the 24/7 operation Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goals Effectively communicate results and action plans to shift employees Contributes with corrective actions and coaching of employees within company policy Collaborate directly with departments to optimize schedule accomplishment Collaborate with HR to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved Develop, participate, and lead process improvement projects Develop and execute plans on a weekly and monthly basis to achieve cost efficient and accurate processes Identify, align, and provide input to operational excellence practices Utilize technical skills and relevant experience to identify/solve problems and recommends/implements operating efficiencies Align and implement reliability processes foundational to operations Ensure all Plant operations and business is conducted in a safe and controlled environment Provide stakeholders reliable information, communications, reporting and management updates Conduct timely root cause analysis and enforce improvements to process controls Ensure compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required 2 year degree, and/or equivalent combination(s) of education, industry experience and training 2 + years manufacturing supervision experience Background in high volume manufacturing, preferably within the food and beverage field 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing within a GMP environment Preferred Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F—80F degrees) Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to I—mile range) to another this could include but not be limited to in—plant departments, (Shipping— Receiving, Production, etc.) Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8—12 hours) Strong skills in written communications, oral communications, analytical skills, organizational skills, and balanced decision-making skills required to manage projects Strong leadership skills and prior experience with managing large teams is required Regularly time and attendance
