Job Summary
Oversee and manage daily production operations within a Hitachi manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and high-quality output while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control procedures.
Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide opportunities for skill development for team members.
Operate and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment as needed.
Manage raw material and finished goods inventory to support production requirements.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-volume setting.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by production demands.
