Job Description

PO3 Portsmouth £32,407 + 20% shift premium, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme Please note that the working pattern is a permanent late shift About the Job As a Team Leader you will lead your team to meet daily production, quality, and delivery targets. As part of your key responsibilities you'll: Ensure all team members follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strictly comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) procedures . Lead production teams to meet and improve upon daily operational targets regarding safety, cost, quality, delivery, equipment, and people . Implement and sustain best practices while driving a culture of continuous improvement and recognising team-driven improvement ideas . Plan and deliver the daily workload using planning tools, resolve operational issues as they arise, and escalate them to production management when appropriate . Handle day-to-day staff management and HR-related issues within the production team . Coach, manage, and develop motivated teams, identifying training needs and tracking high-performing individuals along the skills matrix About You We'd love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you'd be able to perform well in this role! Experience in a technical and leadership role within a strong manufacturing environment . A solid understanding of technical elements, working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems . Excellent practical problem-solving capabilities paired with strong analytical skills to resolve operational issues . Proven leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and effectively coach teams at all levels .
