Job Description

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Line and Packing Operators, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Foster a positive and high performing environment. Temporarily fill in or cover production roles in the event of absenteeism, emergency, or operational demand. Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines. Set daily goals and objectives and drive safety, quality and efficiency initiatives. Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the assigned shift operations activities are aligned. Review CIP charts and process documentation to verify proper execution and compliance with the company, SQF, and regulatory standards. Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste and optimize throughput. Ensure that products meet quality standards by working with quality, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations or defects promptly. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations. Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and to enable proper food safety, conducting regular safety training and audits. Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Prepare and analyze production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to line efficiency, over-time, OOE, and safety, and provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements. Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to coordinate production activities and resolve any cross-functional issues. Be willing to learn all major production positions within the facility, including line operations, batching, CIP procedures, packaging, and material handling. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficient in computer applications, including production management software (e.g., ERP system like Sage) and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office).
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
