ROLE PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the Manager, Production is to provide strong, visible leadership on the production floor while overseeing the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for leading and developing production teams in a fast‑paced, production‑line environment to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards, while meeting delivery commitments. Experience in Food or GMP‑based manufacturing is preferred but not required for candidates who demonstrate strong production leadership capabilities.MAJOR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and front‑line employees to drive accountability, engagement, and performance on the production floor. Achieve the agreed manufacturing schedule in collaboration with Supply Chain and the Master Scheduler, while effectively managing daily production priorities and constraints. Maintain smooth production operations by ensuring adherence to established methods, procedures, and standard work practices. Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance through consistent leadership presence and reinforcement of expectations. Partner with Quality to address deviations, non‑conformances, and CAPAs in a timely and compliant manner. Partner with leadership to build and sustain an effective training program that supports onboarding, cross‑training, and ongoing skill development for production teams. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing production processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements, and leading implementation of agreed‑upon changes. Ensure batch‑related documentation (batch records and SOPs) is completed accurately and closed in a timely manner to support batch release. Work closely with leadership on hiring, performance management, coaching, and corrective actions to build a high‑performing production organization.KEY COMPETENCIES
Proven leadership skills in a production-line or manufacturing environment, with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable. Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions based on business needs. Working knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP systems (21 CFR 110, 111). Food or regulated manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Ability to use KPIs and production metrics to monitor performance, identify issues, and drive corrective actions. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION andCREDENTIALS
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production‑line environment. 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within operations or manufacturing. Experience in Food, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or other GMP‑based manufacturing environments preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The target salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. New Chapter considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position.
