Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor Graypants is a small design firm specializing in the design / manufacturing of lighting products, and large-scale custom lighting installations. Our growing business is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our Scraplight production. Past experience in lighting is not required, however, both CAD software and laser experience is a must for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Implement production plans and ensure targets are met. Update and adjust production schedule as needed. Ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on-time.
• Set up / optimize cut files in CAD programs, and prepare material to build Scraplight shades.
• Maintenance of laser and table knife equipment. Make adjustments to ensure clean cuts and optimize for time. Troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
• Oversee a small group of production assistants. Training, planning daily tasks, managing their workflow, and providing support when needed.
• Work with fellow team members to establish realistic lead times for orders. Provide relevant and timely updates to the team regarding orders and ongoing projects.
• Organize production areas to accommodate products and supplies as needed. You might be a good fit as our Production Supervisor if you are:
• Experienced with laser cutters and can troubleshoot mechanical issues ( minimum requirement of 2 years experience ).
• Experienced as a Production Supervisor, or similar role.
• Relentlessly organized and detail-oriented. Analytical with excellent problem solving abilities.
• An outstanding communicator- You'll be working with team members across different departments who are juggling multiple projects, clients and deadlines.. Relaying pertinent information in a timely manner is necessary.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, and can stand for long periods.
• Fiercely proactive, independent, and self-directed . You are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
• Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and extend your work beyond the basic duties of your job.

$62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
