Role:
The Finishing Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the final stages of the production process to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This position is responsible for managing finishing operations, including surface treatments, coatings, packaging, and final inspections. The Finishing Manager collaborates closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize workflow and maintain efficient turnaround times. They lead and develop a team of finishing operators and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, the Finishing Manager ensures that finished products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in , Industrial engineering, or a related engineering field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of finishing processes such as painting, coating, plating, or surface treatment. Proven ability to lead teams and manage production schedules effectively. Familiarity with safety standards and quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in continuous improvement and process optimization. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to finishing processes.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all finishing department activities to meet production schedules and quality requirements. Develop and implement finishing processes, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and product quality. Manage and train finishing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development. Collaborate with quality control to identify and resolve product defects or process issues. Monitor inventory levels of finishing materials and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the finishing area. Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Work closely with other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational challenges.
