Job Description

ummary/Objective The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production and packaging scheduling, quality control, safety education, production and warehouse organization. They are in charge of all training on all machines and lines out on the production floor and assist with maintenance functions. They need to have proficient technical and mechanical understanding in assisting with machine troubleshooting and repairs. They are responsible for creating and maintaining labels for all master cases to ensure efficiencies on the production lines. This position must be knowledgeable on pallet configuration and ensure that heights are met before pallets leave production to assist Shipping and Receiving. Policies, Procedures and Guidelines Trains all employees on manual lines on the Production floor
SAP / WMS
experience Holds meetings with Production Crew Notifies the Plant Supervisor of any problems or issues on the line or with materials used on the machine Keeps an eye on quality control items regarding finished goods & periodically assists in routine QC checks Maintains labels and proper supplies for all orders Completes daily data entry of production data sheets Keeps production area clean of debris and is always tour ready Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor Minimized unplanned downtime through root cause analysis and effective, timely repairs. Other duties as required Skills/Attributes Good organizational leadership and communication skills (written and verbal) Team player and Self-motivated Able to work with all departments and personalities Problem solving skills Moderate technical and mechanical skills troubleshooting various manufacturing machines. Ability to motivate others Supervisory Responsibility This position supervises Packaging leads and all Production employees. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. A large portion of the work will also be performed in a warehouse setting, where the noise level is usually loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on feet for 8 hours/day or longer if required. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee must be able to work physically demanding days and is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a Full Time position. There may be different schedules required at different times during the calendar year. Typically, these shifts include, but are not limited to: 5:30am
  • 2:00pm 4:30am
  • 3:00pm 3:00pm
  • 11:30p Swing shift Travel No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience 1.
