Job Overview We are seeking a hands on night shift Sheeting Supervisor to lead and support operations within our Sheeting and Boxline department on nights. This role is responsible for driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to operate all lines within the department (after training), and the leadership skills to guide a team effectively. This position also works closely with HR on employee selection, retention, coaching, time and attendance, and performance management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage daily shop floor activities ensuring adherence to established procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead all night shift Sheeting and Boxline production including planning ahead to ensure proper inventory and staffing levels. Must be capable of running all department lines and be capable of filling in as a Sheeter or Boxline operator when needed. Maintain daily communication with Customer Service and Scheduling Departments to ensure scheduling aligns with customer needs. Play an active role in employee selection, retention, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Provide consistent training to support quality work and team development. Plan and coordinate work assignments; train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate employee performance while ensuring safe operation of machinery. Ensure the production area remains clean, organized, and well maintained at all times. Oversee broke separation operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely movement of materials. Complete weekly cycle counts to ensure that inventory levels for all raw materials required for production are tracked and maintained so that there are no disruptions to the production schedule. Verify work order accuracy and completes them in the current operating system.
