Job Description

Basic Position Function The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality inspection activities associated with production across all value streams at Nolato Contour. This role ensures that production inspection activities are optimized to add value, reduce waste and result in compliant practices to evaluate product conformance of customer requirements by qualified personnel. Personnel Supervised Inspectors Education / Experience (Required and Desired) Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or associate's degree (AAS) in related field with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience is needed. A minimum of 3 years' experience in
ISO 9001, ISO
13458 and FDA regulated environment is desired.
Knowledge / Skills
Previous supervisory experience required Excellent written and verbal communication Strong change and conflict management skills Strong interpersonal and positive behaviors traits that develop and improve relationships. Strong hard technical skills for mentoring, improving and enhancing technical aptitude. Previous experience in a production environment is required, specifically injection molding. Previous experience in a high-paced team-based environment is required. Previous experience with lean manufacturing or six-sigma is desired. The ability to analyze and improve process efficiency to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required. Knowledge and experience with
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485
standards and FDA requirements. Computer skills required Ability to speak, read and write English is required. Responsibilities Teach, mentor and improve technical aptitude required to perform the job. Develop, mentor and train qualified quality inspectors by leading hiring efforts, onboarding, training, cross-training and fostering continuous growth and development. Foster a professional quality culture and positive work environment conducive to teamwork, collaboration, and employee recognition, promoting employee engagement and morale. Lead & encourage efforts to improve processes by implementing continuous improvement Oversee inspection operations for production support, ensuring efficiency, quality and adherence to acceptance criteria, including frequency of inspections and SPC (Statistical Process Control) Encourage employee participation in continuous improvement, innovation and problem-solving initiatives. Encourage leads to drive the day-to-day activities within the team to ensure that procedures are followed and requirements met. Participate in Gemba Walks to identify problems or areas of improvement. Manage and implement training and development plans for direct reports. Support pre-production inspection activities as needed to ensure team awareness of new programs, requirements and expectations Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to best practices Maintain a clean and safe work environment; keep work area clean of debris Perform other duties as assigned Nolato Contour is equal employment opportunity
