Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review production schedules, work orders, and customer requirements to determine product specifications, production volumes, and delivery timelines. Plan and coordinate departmental operations to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency. Evaluate production schedules and forecast labor requirements to ensure timely completion of assignments. Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, productivity, and product quality. Recommend adjustments to work methods, staffing, and equipment usage to improve operational efficiency. Analyze production challenges and partner with employees to develop practical solutions that minimize downtime and maximize output. Lead, motivate, and engage employees to achieve departmental objectives and performance expectations. Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to align production activities across departments. Establish production priorities and sequencing to optimize manufacturing flow and on-time delivery. Develop and maintain operational schedules to ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications. Monitor production performance and address operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize delays and control costs. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and effective utilization. Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices. Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues; escalate unresolved matters when appropriate. Maintain accurate production records and reporting systems. Ensure department organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained, including designated exterior work areas.
