Job Description

Production Supervisor responsible for leading first-shift assembly operations, workforce planning, production performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities. Job Requirements Manufacturing or distribution process knowledge Knowledge of quality systems, tooling, tool design, preventative maintenance, and facilities Familiarity with production systems Lean Manufacturing experience Just-in-Time manufacturing experience Kanban experience Demand Flow Technology experience Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Working knowledge of SAP Cross-functional experience with accounting, manufacturing, engineering, operations, warehousing, distribution, or supply management Education requirement may include one of the following: University degree or 4-year work equivalent in Supply Management, Business, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or related field Associate degree with relevant experience High school diploma with sufficient related experience Preferred Skills 2+ years of team leadership experience 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a factory environment Knowledge of CIPP, Continuous Improvement Pay Plans Project management experience, including plan development, resource coordination, and results delivery Bilingual in English and Spanish First-shift assembly operations experience Workforce planning and staffing experience Production schedule management experience Continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment Job Responsibilities Supervise production employees in operations Manage first-shift assembly operations Support department and organization production goals Monitor and improve safety, quality, and productivity performance Oversee onboarding, training, and development of production employees Direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities Monitor control plans Troubleshoot workmanship problems Ensure manufactured products meet established quality requirements Implement, monitor, and sustain safety programs Maintain housekeeping standards within production areas Determine manufacturing priorities based on production schedules Adjust staffing and work hours to meet production and customer promise dates Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules Monitor individual, line, and budget performance Take corrective action to meet production, quality, safety, and budget targets
