Job Description

Make an Impact Where It Matters At Heiden, we build high-quality custom metal fabrication products that our customers depend on every day. This role plays a key part in keeping production moving efficiently while supporting quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the shop floor. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads from the floor, communicates well with teams, and enjoys improving processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a leader with strong fabrication and operations experience who can support employees, drive workflow, and help build a strong team culture. Candidates with Continuous Improvement (CI/Lean Manufacturing) experience are strongly preferred. Why You'll Want to Work Here Competitive pay & full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays) Stable, locally owned manufacturing company Hands-on leadership role with real impact Opportunity to improve processes & help shape operations Team-oriented environment focused on quality & continuous improvement What You'll Be Doing A Day in the Life Lead daily manufacturing operations for Operators, Fabrication Support & Support employees Support and collaborate with second-shift leadership Plan, schedule, and allocate labor/resources to meet production goals Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and production priorities Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Help maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards Support troubleshooting and resolution of production challenges Communicate across departments to keep operations running smoothly Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented environment Support employee coaching, development, and training What Success Looks Like Production runs efficiently with minimal disruptions Teams communicate well and stay aligned on priorities Process improvements are consistently identified and implemented Employees feel supported, accountable, and engaged Quality and safety expectations are consistently met Production goals are achieved through teamwork and strong leadership What We're Looking For 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production 3+ years of metal fabrication experience preferred CI/Lean Manufacturing experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with scheduling, task management, and workflow coordination Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication prints Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Office Union or structured manufacturing experience is a plus Who You Are You lead by example and support your team from the floor You enjoy improving processes and finding efficiencies You communicate well across departments and shifts You can make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment You hold yourself and others accountable You focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
