Address 715 South Street State WI City Mayville ZIP Code 53050 Shift Weekend- Days Overview Coordinates the effective use of equipment, facilities, team members, and skill sets in order to meet all safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Responsibilities 1. Schedules all direct labor personnel on daily work activities ensuring optimal utilization of skills and man hours to meet timely production and quality standards. 2. Trains employees and completes training records. 3. Ensures employees are complying with manufacturing process documentation. 4. Maintains schedule adherence and works with management on proper staffing levels to meet schedules. 5.
Leads high-performing team:
interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. 6. Maintains proper quality standards on all products being produced on shift. 7. Distributes supplies, takes inventory, and initiates reorder as needed. 8. Advises operations management of process improvement ideas, production issues, maintenance items, safety matters, and other information. 9. Follows acceptable employee relation practices and company policies. 10. Ensures employees maintain and practice proper safety requirements including good housekeeping and wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE). 11. All other duties assigned. Qualifications Job Skills Requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and production/quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal departments to ensure delivery of quality product on time.
  • May require in-depth ability to read, interpret and explain blueprints, engineering drawings, job orders and specifications based on location.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees.
  • Advanced ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and production problems.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with office productivity software and business control software.
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced production environment, often under time constraints. Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment including managing personnel in a production environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods and teams, or cost reduction initiatives showing tangible results.
