Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
OVERSEES
IN-KIND DONATION PRODUCTION FOR THE VEHICLE PROGRAM
by facilitating change to meet internal and external customer needs, improving efficiency and reduce costs; developing and maintains production staff and vendors; providing communication to internal and external parties; assuming risk management; providing a learning environment for the work experience program; developing and maintaining production staff and budget; expanding production knowledge; overseeing technician positions in the shop.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
DEVELOPS PRODUCTION STAFF AND VENDORS
by by providing training, supervision, coaching, encouragement, and discipline to staff involved in the production processes, product segmentation, detailing, and repairs in order to meet production goals, objectives, and outcomes; providing information and input pertinent to department decision making; recommending options and courses of action. 2.
MAINTAINS PRODUCTION CAPACITY BASED ON INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMER NEEDS
By providing vendor and staff planning and development; writing job descriptions needed for development plans. 3.
MAINTAINS RAWHIDE FLEET AND DOT INSPECTIONS ALONG WITH STATE REGISTRATIONS
by Inspecting automotive vehicles to ensure compliance to state standards and governmental regulations; interprets related state laws and regulations to help ensure the fleet's compliance. 4.
MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
by Completing required trainings; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 5.
MAINTAINS STAFF JOB RESULTS
by training and coaching support staff; establishing staff goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback; appraising job results. 6.
PROTECTS THE CREDIBILITY OF THE RAWHIDE MISSION
by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct; setting an example, in words and actions, that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide. 7.
CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
by performing other duties as directed or assigned by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Train and develop production staff on proper processes and procedures Coordinate production schedule ensuring accurate amounts of materials and supplies are available for production work
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in a related field, 1 year of production management experience, 3 years of production/assembly line experience, or willingness to complete training through Rawhide's LMS system Strong leadership, administrative, and customer service skills Demonstrated ability to manage budgetary restraints and safety regulations
