Job Description

Objective The 2nd shift Supervisor at Taylor in Sheboygan WI manages all facets of production in their respective areas. Included is time management, cycle time, rates, line ups, direct all reports, containment, OEE, floor 55, safety, downtime, cost and training. All are key in attaining plant goals and objectives. Main Responsibilities Facilitates efficient operation practices (monitor and act to maintain and improve upon defects, cycle time, machine uptime, and labor optimization). Lines up, organize, and manage workforce per shift priorities. Ensures a safe working environment by monitoring correct use of personal protective equipment, adherence to work instructions and identification/corrective action of safety risks. Collects and completes production reports and ensure 100% accuracy in the reporting. Enter data in production database and file paperwork in appropriate locations. Use data and on the floor monitoring to report machine status, concerns, audit results, and follow-up information in shift notes and rounds meetings. Responsible for production containments, identification, organization, tagging, and flow. Upon disposition direction regarding containments, responsible for sorting and rework directives. Trains and/or supports trainers and training coordinator in appropriately educating all employees on job requirements, company policies, safety, quality, and customer expectations as well as changes to any of the prior stated.
