Full Job Description Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Maintains a safe working environment for employees and coordinates resolving issues. Supports employee performance with regular observation and engagement in their work areas. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and schedules shift assignment duties. Evaluate the training needs of shift associates and arrange to get them trained to be proficient in running the machine and to be knowledgeable about the parts they are producing. Inform the associates of the quality and productivity expectations of the parts they are producing. Provide daily face-to-face feedback to each employee. Address the shift issues using appropriate resources to have minimum effect on plant efficiency. Provide respectful supervision/leadership. Be a positive role model for co-worker. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Responsible for labor and production efficiency. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Maintains time and production records.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
Six months to one year related experience supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word word processing software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Job Boss manufacturing software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 20-30 employees in the Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $77,500.00 per year
