Full Job Description Assistant Yard Foreman Job Title:
Assistant Yard Foreman Job Summary:
The Assistant Yard Foreman supports the Foreman in overseeing daily operations, ensuring worksite efficiency, and maintaining quality standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, coordination with teams, and problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Foreman in managing workflow, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress. Ensure worksite safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to maintain productivity. Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality control. Support training and development efforts for crew members. Address challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of work schedules, progress reports, and inventory. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders. Uphold company policies and foster a positive work environment. Required Qualifications Lifting to 150 lbs. as needed Forklift experience Might require occasional local travel of Southeastern Wisconsin Ability to manage many priorities effectively Experience in logistics, customer service or related field is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
