Assembly Line Worker Job Description Join our team as an Assembly Line Worker where you will play a vital role in the assembly of engines and transmissions. You will work in a dynamic environment that offers competitive pay and opportunities for cross-training and growth. Responsibilities Work in the Engine and Transmission departments, focusing on assembly tasks. Perform sub-assembly work with smaller parts in the Transmission department. Conduct engine-side assembly with larger parts in the Engine department. Participate in a four-step training process with team leads and supervisors. Report to the team lead and respective manager for guidance. Essential Skills Experience in assembly, production, and general labor. Proficiency with hand tools, mechanical assembly, and blueprint reading. Ability to stand for 10 hours and lift up to 30 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with DC tools, hand tools, and wire harness is a plus. Basic computer skills for reading job tasks at the workstation. Work Environment The work environment is clean and climate-controlled, providing comfort during work hours. The job requires adherence to PPE requirements, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes. Employees must have reliable transportation and follow plant rules, including limited cell phone use. Two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch are provided during the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.
