Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist -

OT Eligible Shift:
Primarily 1st Shift; flexibility required to cover night shift during PTO or staffing shortages We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist with a strong environmental compliance background to support daily manufacturing operations. This role serves as the site's environmental technical expert and will lead efforts related to environmental regulations, compliance, training, inspections, and industrial hygiene while supporting overall EHS initiatives. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations Conduct environmental inspections, hazard assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations Oversee hazardous waste, spill prevention, chemical inventory, and pollution control programs Collect and analyze air, water, and soil samples; prepare detailed reports and corrective actions Develop and deliver EHS training programs and maintain OSHA/regulatory documentation Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, HR, and leadership teams to drive EHS initiatives Coordinate safety committee activities, audits, and plant walkthroughs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial EHS experience Strong knowledge of U.S. environmental, health, and safety regulations Experience with industrial hygiene, ergonomics, fire science, and compliance programs Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications CSP Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year Experience with E-coat, metal stamping, or welding operations
