Job Description Feed Batching Operator FM02
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Upon moving ingredients. supplies or material, ensure that the area is safe and there is enough space or accessibility provided for the team members. Position may also require working in a fast-paced environment. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or other member of management.
Qualifications/ Skills:
Special Skills Required:
Good communication skills Requires a Tyson Pallet Jack Operator license. Requires Forklift Operator license. Requires Boiler operator certification. Must be able to maintain receiving and production logs throughout the day. Operators are required to inspect their equipment daily. Requires use of hands, arms, and legs to monitor production process in the department for proper operation, produce quality and quantity, and performing line duties as required. This position requires the use of handheld devices. This position requires the use of steel toe shoes. The physical ability to stand throughout the day, bend and stoop without difficulty and use your hands for firm grasping and fine manipulation of equipment is required.
Environmental Factors:
Must be able to work inside a facility, in a hot/warm/cold temperate, dusty environment, be able to maneuver in tight spaces. Moving objects, electrical and mechanical hazards. Adequate lighting and ventilation. Must be able to climb and/or lift 50 lbs or more for an extended period of time throughout the day.
Requirements:
Applicants must not have any written warning in the past 6 months or written warning with suspension in the past 12 months. Internal applicants must have no more than 10 attendance points to be considered and maintain the Feed Batching Operator position, at 10.5 points tm will be disqualified from the job and will be offered a general labor vacant position at the facility if available and/or the complex.
