9 Tempe, AZ Job Details Full-time From $65,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications Laboratory procedures Laboratory safety Basic math High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description The Extraction Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily extraction operations, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and high-quality production of cannabis concentrates. This role leads the extraction shift, meets daily production schedules, maintains equipment, adheres to safety and compliance standards, and drives continuous improvement across BHO extraction processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of extraction methods, leadership skills, and a deep commitment to product quality and regulatory compliance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage daily extraction operations and ensure adherence to SOPs. Help optimize extraction parameters for yield, efficiency, and product quality. Manage prepped biomass geared for extraction runs. Ensure all concentrates meet company and quality standards. Maintain full compliance with AZDHS and all state regulations. Oversee accurate tracking and batch documentation. Enforce strict safety protocols for solvents, equipment, and PPE. Maintain and troubleshoot extraction equipment, chillers, and vacuum pumps. Ensure the extraction lab remains clean, safe, and audit ready. Track batch production, and processing data. Manage supply levels, solvents, and inventory needed for production. Assist updating and refine SOPs.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of mechanical processes and general lab procedures. 3 years' experience in BHO production. Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to SOPs. Basic math and measurement skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Familiarity with safety standards in handling flammable or pressurized materials. Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiently under pressure. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable working in environments with strong odors and variable temperatures.
Preferred Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent (required) Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred). Must be 21+ and able to pass required background checks.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and arm movements, and frequently bend or stoop. The employee must also be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position is performed indoors, typically in a cooler environment, and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and compliance standards

Monday-Friday, 5am
