Position Summary:
The Production Leader will be responsible for operating and maintaining Direct to Garment printers, Direct to Film Printers, and other apparel augmentation equipment, to produce graphic designs on various types of media for our valued firefighter customers. Responsibilities will include helping to establish highly efficient and safe production policies and procedures. Applicants should be driven, detail-oriented, with a strong desire to produce high-quality prints in an increasingly rapid timeframe. The ideal candidate should have an eye for accuracy, comfort with technology, be a self-starter, and have a teamwork-oriented mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
Understands digital ink print systems, or have similar prior experience, that will allow for rapid on the job learning. Has a good understanding of various fabric materials to determine pre-treat preparation, optimal print, and curing settings. Sets up printers according to established company guidelines for safe operation, and individual job requirements. Monitors print supplies and garment inventory min/max levels and communicate the need for replacement with Materials Management personnel. Stocks new inventory onto storage shelving. Receives orders and adjusts graphic image templates as required for production. Performs minor image cleanup on customer supplied artwork using company supplied image editing software. Notifies customers or our sales department about uncorrectable issues with supplied artwork. Ensure adherence to production priority following a method of first in, first out (FIFO) Reviews work orders to verify everything is correct prior to commencing print jobs. Picks product from warehouse for order processing, and labels each with a barcode that contains order details. Pretreats and dries garments prior to print production. Prints job(s) maintaining optimum production rate, color density, and registration to meet company quality requirements. Heat cures printed products. Folds and packages completed product. Completes work order records. Performs regular maintenance of print devices and is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the production facility. Coordinates with equipment manufacturers when extensive repairs are required. Properly disposes of waste materials.

Pay Range:
$40,000 to $55,000 / year. Compensation is awarded based on print productivity.
Position Details:
Full time, non-exempt hourly Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Requirements:
Must have normal color vision (trichromats). Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Detail oriented and highly organized. Ability to work in an environmentally controlled warehouse and production area with constant exposure to moderately loud machinery. Problem-solving skills. Experience with professional image editing software. Proficient with a PC and suite of Office Applications. 1-year or more experience with Direct to Garment printing preferred. Original digital graphic design capabilities are a plus but not required.
