Position Summary The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating production activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met. This role assigns tasks, supports team members, and works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Assign tasks to employees based on production needs and specifications Collaborate with QA, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues Ensure accurate and timely completion of production reports and documentation Ensure all products are processed according to specifications and schedules Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Monitor staffing and support team leads to meet production targets Perform other duties as assigned Promote and enforce workplace safety and food safety standards Provide regular updates to Production Supervisor on safety, quality, and productivity Review production schedules and coordinate daily production activities Support continuous improvement initiatives Support GMP compliance and conduct food safety observations Train and coach team members on equipment, GMPs, and safety requirements Maintain punctuality and adherence to attendance policies. Perform other duties as assigned and support different production areas as needed. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or production environment preferred Leadership or team lead experience preferred (coaching, training, assigning work) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and production processes Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50lbs Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching Exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, and chemicals Work in varying temperatures (sub-0° to 85°) Benefits 401(k) with company matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Long term disability, Life insurance
