Class A Driver/ Pump Rig Assistant Operator

Laurel Ag & Water, LLC is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Class A Driver/ Pump Rig Assistant . As a key member of the construction team, the Class A Driver/ Pump Rig Assistant will be involved in underground installation, pump and electrical construction, and filter construction, Laurel is looking for a strong Class A Driver/ Pump Rig Assistant with a proven track record of comprehensive knowledge of pump equipment. This role will report to the Manager of Pump and Electrical. This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel. The Class A Driver/ Pump Rig Assistant is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, and constantly enhances the culture. They should also have strong communication skills to inspire others in their role as a team builder and peer.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Support the Lead Installer pulling and setting ground well pumps as well as general pump construction: Pump teardown and inspection Repair / replace failed parts Diagnose equipment failures Assembly and prepping of new and refurbished pump equipment Maintain a clean work environment Support required Field Installation Reporting & NetSuite entries for all pump work as required Prompt, Professional Customer communication Photo document work site and all work performed Assist Lead with job/service call preparation including review job details and sourcing materials from Laurel Warehouses or vendors. Assist in identifying materials needed for job/service completion and make sure materials are available and loaded appropriately.

Pump Department Support:

Work with Pump Department Teams as directed by Pump Operations Leader to assist in Pump, electrical & filter installation Perform other duties as assigned Verbal and Written Communication

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Class A license Clean CA driver's license Trailer towing experience Exceptional problem-solving skills Ag Pump & Electrical experience including troubleshooting and repair Ability to professionally communicate with customers Ability to effectively communicate within pump team & management Detail oriented & capable of understanding project details Dependable Ability to work independently and be able to act in a self-directed manner without immediate supervision. Familiar with Irrigation / pump relationships Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel and routinely lift objects more than 50lbs. Must be willing to work inside and outside as required in various weather conditions Experience with crane & equipment required for pumps & electrical work Bilingual (Spanish) Well testing & efficiency experience Basic Computer Skills Welding / Pipe Fitting experience Basic Pump/Electrical Knowledge
