Production Assistant

Flying Monkey Est. 2004 Flying Monkey is a premium denim label rooted in Los Angeles, known for its innovation in fit, finish, and fabric. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Assistant to support our product development and production pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who understands apparel production fundamentals and is passionate about how fashion comes to life—from concept to delivery. Responsibilities Communicate daily with overseas factories and internal teams via email to coordinate production details Assist in managing the production calendar and ensure key timelines are met Accurately input and maintain production data in Excel and internal systems Track samples and production status, flagging any issues or delays proactively Work cross-functionally with design, sales, and logistics teams to ensure accurate execution of product specifications Organize and prepare sample shipments and production-related documentation Support quality control checks and maintain up-to-date production records Prepare, update, and manage all production data and documentation Requirements Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP and PLM systems is a plus Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the apparel industry with an understanding of industry terminology and workflows Effective written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones
