The Production Scheduling Associate will assist in managing with the production work order planning and scheduling; developing schedules establishing sequence and timeframe of manufacturing operations in order to meet production requirements and deadlines; and maintains records, reports and plans for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecast.
Job Description:
  • Utilizes work orders to help set priority lists and establish production schedules.
  • Work with the production teams to expedite customer orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Proactively monitor daily work order flow & assembly progress by walking the floor and updating work order progress and identifying potential issues before they become problems.
  • Push completed work orders to the shipping department to ensure no delays.
  • Provide daily updates on work orders including what is current and/or potentially behind schedule.
  • Act as "Go-To" person & main contact between production floor and Sales/CSR teams for questions on lead times, unplanned delays, and orders in process.
  • Ensure all expedited "RUSH" orders are prioritized properly on the floor and shipped as needed.
  • Go through all orders and review to make sure that the order and renderings match
  • Enter assemblies for all orders that are submitted to Production.
  • Plans, schedules and releases production work based on customer delivery requirements, and capacity.
  • Resolves production-scheduling issues through problem resolution.
  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Make decisions to release, firm, or defer work based upon current inventory, capacity, and material availability.
  • Performs all job duties in accordance with published procedures.
  • Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
  • All other tasks assigned by Management.
Required Skills:
  • Analytical/Problem solving skills.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, ERP, X/A, AVP, etc.).
  • Oral and written Communication skills.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple programs and tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, have a positive professional demeanor.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work in a comprehensive team environment.
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills (must be a team player).
  • Highly organized, excellent time management, follow-up and multi-tasking ability.
  • Ability to read and understand Work Orders and build sequence instructions.
  • Has the ability to adequately act as a liaison between departments within the company.
  • Can work efficiently under pressure and help motivate employees to meet demands.
  • Strong work ethic.
