Pack Line Lead ???? Escalon, CA | Full Time | On Site ????$24.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE Talent Group LLC is partnering with a growing food manufacturing and agricultural processing company in California's Central Valley to identify an experienced Pack Line Lead for their production team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily packaging line operations, directing pack room staff, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and driving shift productivity. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who thrives in fast paced production environments and can independently manage line performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Production Line Leadership
  • Lead daily pack line operations from startup through shutdown
  • Direct pack room crew assignments and workflow throughout the shift
  • Monitor production throughput, line efficiency, and quality standards in real time
  • Provide coaching, corrective feedback, and ongoing support to production staff
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and food safe work environment throughout each shift Quality & Food Safety
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, sanitation procedures, allergen controls, labeling accuracy, and traceability requirements
  • Monitor product quality and packaging standards throughout production runs
  • Partner closely with QA personnel to identify and resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively
  • Support quality hold procedures and communicate production concerns to leadership as needed Production Monitoring & Compliance
  • Read and interpret production BOMs and packaging specifications
  • Monitor blend ratios, weights, yields, and packaging accuracy during production
  • Make routine line adjustments to maintain efficiency and product consistency
  • Track production variances and communicate operational concerns to plant leadership Equipment & Troubleshooting
  • Perform first line troubleshooting on packaging equipment including conveyors, scales, sealers, and related systems
  • Escalate maintenance or operational issues outside of normal troubleshooting scope
  • Help minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and strong floor awareness Team Development & Communication
  • Train and onboard new production and pack room team members
  • Participate in effective shift handoffs and communicate operational updates clearly between teams
  • Identify recurring operational or equipment issues and communicate trends to leadership for continuous improvement efforts Qualifications Required
  • 2+ years of experience leading packaging or processing line operations within food manufacturing, agriculture, or a related production environment
  • Proven ability to independently lead production shifts and maintain productivity standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct teams in fast paced environments
  • Experience monitoring quality standards, production targets, and food safety requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in a production environment
  • English communication skills required; bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred Preferred
  • Experience with check weigh systems, conveyors, sealers, or packaging equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting experience
  • Previous experience training or mentoring production staff
  • Familiarity with GMP, SQF, HACCP, or food safety programs preferred Compensation & Benefits
  • $24.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience
