Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
This is an Onsite position based at our location in Goleta, CA. No Visa sponsorship is available for this position. The Production Control Specialist forecasts, plans and schedules the daily production and safety workflow based on customer orders and inventory, and continuously evaluates open orders to ensure prioritization and communication to the production team to ensure product movement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecasts, plans, and schedules production workflow based on customer orders
Collaborates with Production Supervisors to define priorities in production schedule
Releases product to appropriate department
Utilizes company ERP system to create and analyze reports to determine best scheduling methods
Closely monitors job progress from job creation to completion
Enters inventory information and confirms physical inventory when needed
Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems recommending solutions
Takes a proactive approach to scheduling methodologies to identify potential conflicts throughout the different phases of production in an effort to minimize errors and maximize customer experience
Provides data as required to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future orders
Read and write reports as necessary
Ensures safety and quality goals are met

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
3 years' minimum proven scheduling experience within a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
Required Skills:
Must be a forward thinker, self-starter, motivated, and dependable
Highly organized and detail oriented
Strong computer skills to include MS Office products; Excel reporting using pivot tables and V-Look up required
Prior experience working within an ERP system
Must be able to read, interpret, understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules
Possess acute observation skills to ensure the safety of those around them
Effective verbal and written communication, as well as acute listening skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment
Preferred Additional Education, Experience and Skills:
Associate's Degree in a Business Discipline
Planning, Inventory Management, or other related certification
