Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support daily operations in a specialty food production environment. This role is ideal for someone with a food-related background who is looking to apply their knowledge in a hands-on production setting. This position involves working directly with food products, supporting packing, labeling, sanitation, and quality control activities, while following established food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food production activities including packing, portioning, sealing, and labeling Support quality control through basic inspections and record-keeping Follow food safety procedures including GMPs and SSOPs Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment Monitor and record temperatures and production data Support inventory handling and storage Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation tasks Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
Interest in food production, quality, and food safety Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Comfortable working in a refrigerated production environment Good organizational and communication skills Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn Excellent computer skills
Food Safe Certification Preferred Qualities:
Educational background in food science, food technology, nutrition, biology, or a related field Familiarity with HACCP protocols
